Hi–thank you so much for the very useful plugins. I am working on a site, papercutters.org, that uses BuddyPress and MediaPress for creating User Galleries within BuddyPress. It’s a main domain install (not subdomain or multisite). I’m using the most recent WP (5.4 I think) and BuddyPress, free version (not premium) of MediaPress. My theme is Bloggist (child) by SuperbThemes, latest.

I recently moved the entire site from a subdomain to the domain. But this problem with the uploads may have existed before. I set 2, then 4MB as the max for individual uploads to galleries, to make sure there would be sufficient room.

If you need it to think about the problem, I can provide a list of plugins–I’m mainly using these two for this area, however.
    Thanks!

    Hi Jerise,

    Welcome to BuddyDev.

    Thank you for using MediaPress.

There may be several reason for it. I will assist you fix it.

Can you please tell me if you are able to upload via the standard WordPress media uplaoder(From Dashboard->media>Add). Please check and let me know.

    Regards
    Brajesh

The Media uploader is generally working, yes. I have gotten as far as adding a new image to the Media Library, and then it looks as though I’ve selected it and it’s going to add, but then when I am taken back to the BuddyPress/MediaPress gallery upload page nothing happens.

    Hi Jerise,
    Thank you for the details.

I am sorry but I am not sure what you meant in your previous reply.

I was referring to WordPress media uploader(WordPress Admin Dashboard->Media->Add). Also, after uploading a media from MediaPress, Please visit Dashboard->Media and check if ti is available here?

Please let me know what you find out.

    Thank you
    Brajesh

    Hi again–The Media uploader works.
It is available from Dashboard–>Media when I upload.

But when I am using MediaPress->Galleries, the galleries do not upload. I think it is a problem with my settings for MediaPress–or possibly something that I set wrong within the BuddyPress settings, since the galleries are a feature of BuddyPress.

Thank you! Here is what it says–I am wondering if maybe it automatically resets each time cache is purged? Because I was able to upload today, after I “saved” all settings once more in the plugin settings, to a gallery that I created as a test case, and also able to upload to a member’s gallery, but she was not able to do it herself.

    Hi,
Thank you for sharing the details.
I am not seeing any issue with your configuration.

Do you have a staging site? If yes, Please grant me access to it and I will try to upload and test the issue there.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi,
Sorry for the delay. Obviously, happy Easter and don’t worry about this till you get back to work! But here is the site:
    https://papercutters.org
And I have made you an Admin so you can see more about how MediaPress is working on the site. Users are having difficulty uploading any of their gallery images, and I have been able to do that for them only by going into the Dashboard –>MediaPress–>All Galleries, then opening and adding media. I would like the users to be able to manipulate the galleries themselves, preferably from the front end (the way MediaPress advertises).

Your login is brajesh and your pwd also is the same; feel free to change it when you login.
Thank you so much for any help–I really want the Galleries to be accessible, be able to be changed/uploaded by Users, and look nice, but I have not been able to accomplish this. I think sometimes I may not understand what all the settings are.
    Thanks!
    Jerise
