    Hi!

Sorry, I know that mine is a WordPress/BuddyPress issue. Posting it here in the hope of getting some quick help by the community.

If any member on my site edits her / his Buddypress profile (front end) Or if a new member registers, she / he has no name.

Their Buddypress pages will have NO meta title information accept ‘SITE NAME’.

See example (screen shots) : http://imgur.com/a/XTPWu

    Hi Lavish,

is there any chance that you have deleted the first xprofile field?

Can you please post a screen-shot of edit profile page on the front-end? In your case, It seems the display name is not being synchronized.

    Thank you
    Ravi

    Hi Lavish,
You do have the first profile field.

can you please visit Settings->BuddyPress and see if this option is checked

    “Profile Syncing”

If it is not checked, Please check it and then try registering a new account. Somehow the BuddyPress to WordPress profile sync is turned off and that is causing this issue.

Please check and let me know.

    Thank you.

I think, I should share this. I moved my BuddyPress hosting. On my previous hosting account I accidentally activated MultiSite 2 years ago. I tried hard to remove MS but couldn’t get successful.

So, I set up fresh WP and BP on a new hosting account and imported my users via database tables. I dropped the corresponding tables from the new installation. I am not sure whether or not this has something to do with my issue.

I imported – (prefix was different, so I fixed)

    wp__bp_activity
    wp_bp_activity_meta
    wp__bp_xprofile_data
    wp__bp_xprofile_fields
    wp_bp_xprofile_groups
    wp__bp_xprofile_meta
    wp_usermeta
    wp_users

    and some more

    I did not import –

    bb_profiles
    bb_profiles_settings

they seemed to me, tables related to bbpress which I did not use on my site.

    Thanks

    Hi Lavish,
Are you sure the table names are correct? I am seeing double vs single underscore in the name(I am assuming, it might be a typing issue).

Since you have synchronizations on, The update should be propagated.

Are you using any plugin that may be affecting xprofile update or synchronization?

    Thank you

    Hi Brajesh!

Yes, I am sure they are fine in the database. I just realized those double underscore but its just here.

I copied pasted them and replaced original prefix, just to write them here. No double underscores in the database.
