[Resolved] Messages toolbar notification bubble gone?

    Hi there, I seem to recall that there used to be a toolbar bubble message indicator on the messages tab, but it has gone?

    I tried to go back to Legacy to see if it is a template issue, but with Legacy activated, all profiles are empty…

    Can this be caused by all the added customization code written for Nouveau, are conflicting with Legacy template?

    I will keep using Nouveau but it seems strange that it is not possible to swap between templates anymore.

    Hi Carsten,
    It seems to me you are mixing BP Nouveau template with BP Legacy. You can not mix them. It will lead to fatal errors. Just rename the “buddypress” directory inside your theme and try.

    Things will be back to normal.

    Hi there, you are absolutely right, a home.php file in my child theme was causing this, thanks!

    Any ideas about the missing bubble message indicator on the messages tab?

    You are most welcome. I am glad that other error is gone.

    About the notificatiion: I am not sure which notification you are referring to. If possible, Please point me with a screenshot.

    Hi Carsten,
    It is quite possible that you don’t have any unread message.

    Please try sending a message to one account and then check it.
