I am busy developing a website for an association that has Business as members. Each “member” is allowed to elect a few staff members to be part of the association. What would be ideal is to have a plugin that basically replicates the “User/Member” module that allows “standard users” to be connected to them. Similar to a Team with team members idea.
My work around is to use the group function as the company as I can assign users to a group. Problem is that I would love to add custom fields to the groups that can be used in advanced searches.
If yo ever develop something like this, I would be the first to buy it.
Based on my research, nothing like this exists.

Welcome to BuddyDev.Thank you for the suggestion and the details.
For the time being, you may use BuddyPress group meta api to add the extra data for the field.
The challenge for a plugin of this type will be a UI. How do we create a user interface to allow adding custom meta.
