nested galleries

    i would like to be able to make nested galleries. Or is there another way to add an extra column or define which id’s to show ?
    I don’t see id of the media files. I need to be able to make subfolders because of large numbers of files

    Hi,
    I am sorry but I do not understand the problem.

    1. A User can have as many galleries as they want with MediaPress. There is no restriction on number of galleries.

    2. Galleries an not be nested(We don’t have any plans for this). There is a plugin available to allow adding categories to galleries if you want to organize them.

    There are shortcodes available which allow you listing specific galleries/media if needed https://buddydev.com/mediapress/guides/getting-started/shortcodes/

    Now, can you please tell me if that makes it work for you or not or if you are looking for something else?

    if i can add categories to the galleries, then i can organize the files
    thats good enough

    where can i find that plugin? whats the name

    i found the mpp-gallery-categories.php on github. Did you mean that one an how can i select a certain categorie by using shortcode??

    Anyway, is there a way to just link only certain files from a gallery with shortcode?

    Thank you.
    yes, that was the plugin. we will be adding it to our site in next 2-3 days(It needs updating of MediaPress and a release is scheduled for Sunday/Monday).

    About shortcode, yes, there is

    You mean the media ids? You can see it from Dashboard->media screen.

    looked everywhere, also checked the screen options. Cant find it
    not in library, not in mediapress
