New member site role showing Participant it should be subsriber (ajax login plu)

    Hi, we are using ajax login plugins. after create the new member its showing site role as “Participant” but it should be subsriber (i have done from WP admin > settings > new user role > subscriber)

    please help urgent

    Hi Valarie,
    It is bbPress assigning that role. Please check your forum settings and make sure you don’t have the automatic role assignment on.

    All the users are assigned as subscriber by default. Also, if using Multisite, Ajax Registration does it too but bbPress may cause updating of the role to Participant. Updating forum settings will solve it.

    hi, thanks for reply, but if i dont automatic role assignment on bbpress then how my user wil create group or topic? any idea?

    Yes, They will be fine. There is no need to assign them participant role if you are using BuddyPress and bbPress together.
