[Resolved] No comments on page and doc

    PHP Version: 7.0.31
    Theme : Community Builder
    Extensions : bbPress, BuddyDev Dashboard, BuddyPress, BuddyPress Ajax Registration, Classic Editor, Code Snippets, List Pages Shortcode, Loco Translate, Maximus Page Builder, Post Type Switcher, SysInfo, WP Sitemap Page

    Hello
    I would like users to be able to write comments on pages and documents.
    Which is not possible in the state.
    On creating a document I checked the box “Allow comments.” but it has no effect on the document.
    On creating a page the option is not proposed.
    Is this normal and how to fix it?

    Hi Dominique,

    The theme supports page comments.

    To enable page comment in WordPress, Please click on the screen options on the new/edit page screen as shown here

    After that, Please Enable “Discussion” as shown here.

    I am not sure what document is. is it a post type? Please let me know and I will assist.

    Thank you for the pages, it works.

    The docs are created by the plugin BuddyPress Docs
    https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-docs/#reviews

    For docs, the comments are activated and the box is checked but on the view, there are no comments possible

    Thank you for clarifying about the docs plugin. I will test it today with the theme. if the plugin supports comment and it works with any other theme, I will make sure it works with Community Builder too.

    Hi Dominique,

    Please upgrade to 1.1.4

    it will allow BuddyPress docs comments to work properly.

    PS:- There is only one file that changed. It is buddypress.php in the theme.
