[Resolved] “number of comment-limit” to work “FOR EACH POST”

    1-IF YOU LIKE THEN IT IS OK IF YOU DO NOT USE THE MODIFIED CODE FOR THE NEW SCENERIO. thats not really a problem

    2-would it be able to do what i explain below? :-

    *For example- i want to be able to set it so that: subscriber should have ONLY 6 comments-limit for “EACH” post.
    –
    I want the subscriber (or any other user-role i choose)

    To be able to:

    -Comment 6 times on POST-A
    .

    -then when subscriber goes to POST-B he would STILL be able to comment ONLY 6times aswell (even if he has already commented 6-times on POST-A)
    .

    -then when subscriber goes to POST-C he would STILL be able to comment ONLY 6times aswell (even if he has already commented 6-times “EACH” on POST-A & B)
    .

    -then when subscriber goes to POST-D he would STILL be able to comment ONLY 6times also (even if he has already commented 6-times EACH on POST-A & B & C)

    The simple problem with the plugin is that

    -i can set it to be:

    Subscriber has 6 comment limit for “ALL” posts on the site

    …

    …

    -But what i want is:

    Subscriber has 6 comment limit for “EACH” post on the site

    Yes. That will be the case. The only thing missing will be that you can not set time limit.

    do you mean the “COMMENT FREQUENCY”

    If that’s what you mean then it’s okay that’s fine..

    But that means the “TIME-LIMIT” would be forever right? ..until i delete that post..or until i delete the “subscribers” comments right?

    If thats it, Then yes go ahead …

    I also hope it would still be possible to set different comment limits for different user-roles.. For example subscriber role has 6 comment-limit.. Then editor role has 10 comment-limit (the plugin can do this now…i just hope that functionality still remains)

    Yes. That means time limit will be for ever.

    Please allow me to ask one of my team members to write an addon for this. It makes more sense as a plugin.
