[Resolved] Pay Pal checkout is not working.

    Hi Buddydev

    I tried two times to buy a buddypress plug but pay pal will
    not accept the payment.

    I know my bank card is ok, it works on amazon / ebay ,
    ect. But not if I use paypal on those sites.

    I called the bank, they said the card was rejected because it
    does not allow reacurring auto payments.

    This is something paypal does to all cards, — paypal account
    or guest checkout .

    Is there some other way I can pay for a plug ?

    Mail you the money ?

    Trade you something for it ?

    I am sorry for the inconvenience, we only offer PayPal at the moment.

    I saw your message a week ago via contact form but the mail address you used was not reachable(reply failed).

    Since you had issues paying for the plugin, I had added the plugin to your account manually.

    Please visit your BuddyDev Profile->Memberships->Plugins and feel free to download it.

    Also, I will appreciate if you updated your email to correct and accessible one.

    Hi Brajesh

    I must say you caught be me surprise. I was expecting
    you to say ” Sorry, thats the way it goes “, But to give me
    the plug, That was unexpected. THANK YOU.

    It just came to me that a brick and mortar store somewhere
    may sell a physical pay pal gift card that can be loaded with cash.

    If not I will buy a 25$ amazon card and send you the code to redeem
    it through the contact form.

    The reason that email didn’t work is because of a typo
    when I made the account .

    I’ve tried to fix it under settings. I get a

    ——-Your settings have been saved.——— message
    inside a red banner.

    But the email doesn’t change ?

    If you could change it for me just replace the

    .com to .me

    There is no need to worry about the payments. It is nice if we get paid for the plugins but that should not be the reason for denying access to them. we try to work with that motto!

    I appreciate your efforts and sentiments for trying to pay but I will suggest not spending too much time on it.

    Hi Brajesh

    I installed the plug and it works fine when text is applied to a post.
    But it has a glitch when using——– “activity plus reloaded 1.1.0 ”

    Media posted with activity plus will bypass the post limit restriction.
    [ images- embedded video- website links. ]

    It may have the same issue with media press? I was thinking of using that
    to upload video files.

    into the plugs post limit ? ? ?

    Hi,
    Activity Plus reloaded does not uses the default BuddyPress activity creation actions.
    MediaPress should work fine with it though as it respects BuddyPress’s activyt posting(There is a catch, Media gets uploaded before being posted to activity, so they will be visible in gallery).

    I have built a theme for [ activity plus ] and worked out the bugs.
    I have plugs working with it .

    mediapress will upload media despite the limit and create
    a storage problem with unused files that have to be found
    and deleted.

    If I used mediapress I would have to start over again.

    Is there a way to put a posting limit on [ activity plus ] ,

    —that doesn’t involve a whole bunch of codeing work ?
    — A theme functions snip ? I’m surprised there isn’t one
    on the web somewhere. Activity plus has been around for
    a long time.

    Thank you for the reply.

    I am sorry, the activity plus reloaded is slated to be deprecated in near future in favour of BP Attachment and we do not plan to add anything to that plugin.

    The plugin was originally developed and managed by WPMU Dev which later deprecated it. we forked(with their permission) and maintained it for existing users.

    I don’t see any sustainable solution for your issue.

    If you still wish to continue with the activity plus, Please let us know and we will add the support for it in rate limiter.
