Hi,
On my standard “posts” single and archives pages the author name, avatar and post date are shown. This displays automatically if I post from the Buddyforms form I use from my profile page.
However, if I post a different Buddyforms form, which uses a custom post type I’ve set up, e.g. “article”, “news story”, etc. the same metadata does not show.
Is there a way to recreate this for my custom post types using the Buddyforms settings?
I looked at this page:
https://buddydev.com/docs/buddyblog-pro/configuring-post-meta-fields-with-buddyblog-pro-post-form/
But I do not want to create custom fields, just show the built-in WordPress fields, e.g. author, avatar and post date.
Hi Scott,
Thank you for the question.I have replied to you over the email. You will need to create single template for your post types in your child theme to have full control over it. Currently, the display on site’s single page is controlled by your BuddyBoss theme and it is not supporting author meta for custom post types out of the box.
