Profile Visibility and Privacy Tabs are confusing

    Hi,

    I noticed last night that in my buddyboss account links that the privacy link for buddyboss goes to the profile visibility, and the profile visibility tab link goes to the privacy section. Of course this is confusing. I never noticed it before.

    Buddyboss has Privacy — goes to Profile Visibility Settings
    Buddydev has Profile Visibility — goes to Profile Privacy

    Are we able to rename buddydev tabs? Profile Privacy? It’s very confusing.

    Hi Kathy,
    Thank you for the post.

    Our plugin used to have the title “Profile Visibility” but then BuddyPress team decided to add the profile field privacy under the title “Profile Visibility”. So, we had to change the title for our settings page to avoid having double menu with same name.

    Since BuddyBoss is a fork of BuddyPress, It carries the same name. We can add an option in future for the site admins to decide the tab label.
    For now, Please use a translation plugin such as Loco Translate to change it.
