Recent Visitors layout issue

Hi there, I’m having some difficulties with the Recent Visitors layout, which looks completely different than the members directory and the example from the plugin documentation with all custom css turned off. Apparently it shares design with the Friends list.

I can control number of columns in my Loop layouts in my theme but Recent Visitors list does not follow this setting, but is one column.

Why does the example on the plugin page look so nice, when my list looks not so nice…

I can’t find the right selector for the Recent Visitors list so I can design it like my members directory.

Is it possible to create one class for all these lists or directories, like Recent Visitors, but also Friends?

    Regards
    Carsten

    Hi Carsten,
    Thank you for the post.

Are you using a custom theme, if yes, which theme it is? Please let me know and I will have more details.

    Regards

Hi Brajesh, thanks for the quick response, I’m using GeneratePress.

If I change them to Twenty Twenty one, it looks like this:

    and members directory like this:

    Thank you.
Does GeneratePress come with BuddyPress support for loop?

Thank you. Is it available with their free or pro version? I haven’t checked that theme recently. We will most probably need to look into what they are doing with the loop to see why the recent visitors is not following it.

I have the pro version, so I have to look this up.

Apparently Friends loop layout is not following the settings either, so maybe I should address this to GP support?

Hi Brajesh, I can’t find anything in the GP Pro documentation, so I think the BP loop is supported in the free version as well

It seem that the Friends layout follows the loop settings anyway

    Hi Carsten,
It seems to me that your theme or you have applied css which are very targeted at specific loop.

The Recent visitors plugin loads ‘members-loop.php’ from your theme or template pack(for directory page) and if it looks any different from your other directories, most probably the theme has very specific targeting.

I will suggest exploring the same to see what could be the issue.

I can check in the free theme but will need couple of days before doing that.

    Regards

Hi Brajesh, I changed to the community builder theme, nice work you have done with this theme. BP content looks great, and displays directories correctly right out of the box. So instead of struggling with my old theme I will change to the community builder theme.

I have a question to the pro version. In my present theme I have the option for creating hook and GB block elements, Are there any options with the pro theme to add this custom code anywhere?

As an example I use the hook elements to reposition different buttons like block and report on the profile page?

    Regards
    Carsten
