I am working on a mental health directory where I have two member types Institute and Practitioners. I would like to display the list of practitioners that are working with the institute. Think of this as a list of doctors on the hospital profile.

Any suggestions on how this can be done?

    Hi Nitin,
I think that a Group is more suited for this type of use case. Institute can be a group.

Member types are taxonomy terms, you can use them to categorize users into these types but how will you relate them will be totally upto you(may be as meta? or custom teable).

I notice that there is a friendship restriction plugin. I was wondering if it would be possible to use the same for my requirement. Where I can allow friendship requests only between Institutes and practitioners.

If I understand correctly, this is the purpose of the plugin?

    Thank you.

With the friendship restriction plugin is it also possible to:

    1. ask the user sending the friend request to confirm by clicking a button that they are currently working with this institute or
    2. show the user sending the friend request a message prior to sending the request that “Only send friendship request to institutes you are working with this”

    You are welcome.

    1. No
    2. May be achievable but it is not part of the plugin.

    Regards
