Remove Buddy Press "Settings" from top right

    Is there a way to remove the BuddyPress “Settings” from the top right profile drop down links?
    I used the plugin BuddyPress User Profile Tabs Creator Pro to get rid of it on the actual profile, but is there anyway of getting rid of it via the top right?

    Yes, I think that is what it is called, but for everyone that Is a non-admin

    Top right under your name there is links like Profile, Friends, Notifications and Settings. I wanted to get rid of Settings.

    Thank you for clarifying.

    Please open the profile tab settings for the “settings panel”

    At the bottom of the first section, you will see “Adminbar Item ID”. It is used to remove the items from adminbar.

    Please put the following into it.

    

my-account-settings

    That will remove it.

    Hello – I have the same question but I do not know where to locate profile tab settings in order to remove the my-account-settings

    I would greatly appreciate some direction.

    Hello Liza,

    You will get this setting if you are using “BuddyPress User Profile Tabs Creator Pro” plugin. It has this feature to remove item from admin bar.
