Tagged: avatar, buddypress, deactivate hyperlink, name, profile picture
Hello
I posted this is in the buddypress (.) org support forums but no one was able to help so I thought I might post it here.
At the moment, when you log in to a buddypress account on the front end, the top right corner has the user’s name and avatar (display picture) and clicking on either of them takes you to the user’s profile.
I would like to deactivate this link so that it cannot be clicked on, then create a separate custom link that takes the user directly to their profile to edit it, which is what we the buddydev forum does – we hover over our names to show other links but our name and picture itself isn’t clickable.
Wondering if someone could tell me how to do this.
Hi Stephanie,
Thank you for your question. It seems to be theme specific( I am assuming that you are not referring to the WordPress admin bar user link).
Please contact theme developers.
