Response time for the Add Friend button is extremely slow

    Hi there, the response time for the Add Friend button is extremely slow.

    The problem is, that users don’t know what is going on, and whether they have clicked the link or not, as there are no Wait notification.

    I wonder what is going on, during this time, and why it has to be so slow, compared to other processes?

    Hi Carsten,

    I am not sure what could be the possible reason. Please try disabling plugins one by one to see if it improves. In general, it should not be slow(Depends on server load, plugins, themes though).

    Hi Brajesh, thanks for your response, I just checked how long the add friend process takes, and it is at least 10-12 seconds before the pending process is displayed.

    I just wondered why this is the only process which takes so long.

    I am guessing that Email sending can be one of the issues. Do you have any code or plugin for sending email/customizing it?
