Search by User Meta in Directory?

    Is there a way to search and create a Directory Search Field based only on a piece of usermeta already stored in the database?

    I have a user meta already for each user $member_number, I just need to add a way in BuddyPress for people to search by it.

    So basically instead of searching by a first name or a last name, searching by member number?
