send notice when bp Message Rate Limiter activates?

    Would love to see options to save a log of users who trip the rate limiter – and another option to send an email to admin (or other email addy) – when the rate limiter kicks in..

    with ability to limit to 1 email per day or email per hour or weekly synopsis.. that would alert the superadmin or other selected person – with details like username, date registered, – nice to have option that sends link for super admin can read the message that tripped the limiter maybe..

    sucuri has some options panel where you can select which things trigger an email alert, which things get logged, and limit how many emails sucuri will send each hour or day or whatever.. so something like that perhaps?

    My apologies for the delayed reply.

    Thank you for the suggestions.

    Though we won’t be able to add the logging(logging needs implementation for log rotations, management screens) and a lot which is not the goal of the plugin, We can easily send an email on triggering the limit.

    If you are interested, please let me know and we can start working on the email triggers.

    Oh man, this would be great! please do add this function!

    This will help many bp admins – the original plugin cuts down on the spam immensly – but this email notification would would make it easier for us to manually remove the spammer accounts and check for things like what email domains they used to signup, ip – stuff like that and make adjustments to limit their next signups as well.

    this addition will also help us to determine if the blocking filter is stopping some or many of our non-spammer members for whatever reason, and then we could adjust things in that area as well –

    getting the notifications will help many,
