Hi,
Not sure if anyone here can help, and I will explain why below, but here is my issue:
I would like to hide the currently logged in user from the member directory, since they don’t need to see themselves.
I have already read this discussion here and implemented the solution:
I am using a plugin called Buddypress Member Type (https://wbcomdesigns.com/downloads/buddypress-member-type/, a separate team to BuddyDev), which allows you to create different member types, like “Student” and “Teacher”, and when you go to the members directory, there should be 3 tabs, “Active members” and then “Student” and “Teacher” (or whatever member types you’ve created). Each tab shows how many people are in that group.
The solution for hiding the currently logged in user in the link above worked, however, the member count for each of the member types, is not correct. I tried the suggested solution to update the member count, but what it does is, correctly change the total members (“Active members”) count, but not the count for the member types. Not sure if anyone here can help, or if I have to ask the makers of the plugin.
Using Buddypress 14.3.3
Hi Stephanie.
Thank you for the question.Since the plugin in question is from WBCom, I will suggest reaching out to them. Removing the count for the logged user is not difficult but I am not sure if the plugin in question provides a hook or not for filtering count. The original developers are in much better position to assist.
Regards
