Yo hi,
My site is attacked by spammers with gmail addresses, then they open a user account and post the “Buy Google Review Comments, Buy Trustpilot reviews etc.”. So in fact I have to delete all these accounts daily manually.
Is there any solution how to block those spam registrations?
1. Is there a plugin where I can see IP addresses on the new registered users in order to block the IPs?
2. Is there a plugin or solution to block spammers with Gmail email address registrations? Thanks for your input.
Regards
DanielHi Daniel,
I am sorry to hear about it.1. You may want to try this one
https://wordpress.org/plugins/register-ip-multisite/2. Do you want to block all users from gmail.com? If yes, we have a simple solution. You can use our ban registration domains plugin.
https://buddydev.com/plugins/wp-ban-registration-domain/
Or if you want to restrict which email domains can be used for registering user, you can use our WordPress Restricted Email Domains plugin.

BrajeshHi Brajesh,
Thanks for the IP plugin suggestion. I have installed it and it does exactly what I was looking for.
I have installed Ban Hammer one week ago and it works the same as the BP plugin Ban registration, which is very effective.
Thanks again.

DanielHi Daniel,
You are welcome.
I had suggested the registration plugin as you had asked for a solution to block gmail. I am glad you have already done this.Regards
BrajeshHi,
I have found this link to create a honeypot for spammers for Buddypress.
https://cyberwire.nl/code-snippets/prevent-buddypress-registration-spam/
Could you teach me how to make a plugin out of it so I can add the plugin? Or can I add the code to a php file of Buddypress?
Thanks for your help.

DanielHello,
I have to clean my website with over 30k spam registrations, but doing it manually under WP Users Dashboard it will take hours and hours. Can I delete the spam accounts in a clean way via FTP that will also delete all the activity posts of these spammers and everything what is associated with these accounts, same way as if I would delete them via WP User Dashboard?
Thanks for your input.
Regards
Daniel
