    Hi is there a way to change “testimonials” headline and everywhere in the plugin to “validation” ?

    Hi Jan,
    Thank you for asking.

    Can you work with localization? Please look into languages directory inside the plugin and you will see the po file. Translate it that will work.

    Please do let me know if you can work with that otherwise, you may provide me the translation strings and I can translate and provide it back to you if you are not familiar with localization.

    Hi Brajesh, thank you for quick reply.

    I translated the original .PO but it still show the old “testimonial” text. is there a cache somewhere or do I need to do something else than just change in the .po?

    Hi Jan,
    Thank you for the prompt reply.

    When you translated, the translator should generate a file with “.mo” extension. Please rename that generated mo file to “en_US.mo” and that should work. I am assuming your locale is default(en_US) otherwise we need to rename that file to the locale of your WordPress installation.

    its so simple and yet i dont seem to get it to work… haha.

    I have the 2 original .mo and .po files in the language folder. I just edit the text in the original .PO, shouldn’t that do it? there is already the .mo file named bp-user-testimonials-en_US.mo , and yes my default locale is en_US.

    So what am i missing?

    Hi Jan,
    You are not missing anything. I should have provided more details.

    1. Please delete the existing en_US. mo file
    2. Rename your “bp-user-testimonials-en_US.mo” to en_US.mo

    and all will be good.

    And for the sake of knowledge, the “po” file is for us humans to translate it. Then the translator generates the “mo” file which is used for the code to show the actual translation.
