I’m using the plugin: BuddyPress Notify Post Author on Blog Comment
and it is great except that when a user comments on a post it sends two notifications:
    1. a user commented on one of your posts – as it should
    but also
    2. a user commented on one of your updates – why does this show too? How can I remove it?

    Hello,

We have updated the plugin. Please download the latest version of plugin and give it a shot. Please do let me know it it works or not. It is a bug due when blog synchronisation is on with Allow activity stream commenting on posts and comments option enabled.

    Hi,
It is showing one notification – but the incorrect one.
It now only says ‘someone has commented on one of your updates’
instead of ‘someone has commented on one of your posts’.

Also – I would like a notification when someone I follow posts a new WordPress post – is this possible?

    Hello Lucytech,

Thank you for acknowledgement. It is now showing notification generated by BuddyPress and it is a default behaviour of BuddyPress. This notification is generated when there is a new reply on an activity in scenario activity type is different like post_update, friendship_created, new_blog_comment etc. So, It is not suitable to modify this.

    Regards
    Ravi

    Hi,
Do you mean localize to your language? If yes, then you can.

If you are running multilingual site, then no.

P{lease do note that the above plugin does not add any notification. It lists the relevant activities. Also, if you are using a Activity wall plugin(not the default BuddyPress Activity), It may not work.

    Regards
    Brajesh
