[Resolved] Unable to create subgroups (nothing in config to activate so)

    Hello, just installed BuddyPress with Seeko theme and I find a couple of glitches.

    A- No subgroup activation in options, there are other options like…

    Allow users to create groups
    allow upload custom profile and header images

    I know its possible since some past version, and I have seen a post about it, and there is the option to allow subgroups.

    B- Cannot activate BuddyPress Nouveau Template, I select it and save, then it is still Legacy selected. No way.

    We have the following BP plugins; BP Matching, Restrict, forum editor, rt Media for BP…

    Thank you for posting.

    A)
    Using a plugin that allows selecting a group as parent groups. There are a few alternatives here

    https://github.com/dcavins/hierarchical-groups-for-bp
    or
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-group-hierarchy/

    I will suggest trying the first and see if that works for you.

    B)
    For the Nouveau template pack please contact the theme author and ask them whether they support the Nouveau template pack or not.

    Thanks for the response.

    I thought or had understood it came out of the box lately.

    First one works…

    Second one i already used but has been not updated for some time. 3 wordpress major versions and it broke my site when active.

    Hi Bruno,

    The group hierarchy is not yet available with BuddyPress. The Group Types was added couple of versions back.

    It’s good to know that one of those works for now.
