Upgrading from BP-Album

    Hi,

    I am thinking about upgrading to either BP Gallery or MediaPress (will the latter work with BP 1.8?) from BP-Album. Is there some way to move the existing galleries over to your plug-ins?

    Hi Lee,
    If you are planning to upgrade, I will suggest upgrading to MediaPress. BP Gallery has been deprecated.

    MediaPress should work with 1.8 without any issue.

    I am sorry but we have a tool for upgrading from BP Gallery to MediaPress but not BP Album to MediaPress and I won’t be able to provide any migrator for BP Album to MediaPress.

    Is there a way to upgrade from BP-Album to BP Gallery? If so I could upgrade to MediaPress after that.

    Oh, I probably should mention that BP-Album has the same codebase as BuddyPics, so anything that works with that will work with BP-Album as well.

    Hi Lee,
    I am sorry but we don’t have any such importer. Importers take a lot of time to build and we need to understand the other plugins data structure first to import it.

    I could not find enough time to do it.
