All right, I removed the primary_id part.

About the admin problem, I checked it on other browsers and it worked fine, so it was a Safari issue. I emptied caches and now it works fine on Safari too. Thanks for helping out and again many thanks for the plugin. Marking this as resolved.

    Regards

    Hi Brajesh,

First of all, amazing job! This has taken my website visually to the next level.

I had some problems initially, probably because I hadn’t written the shortcode correctly. Funnily, it seemed to be working in the end anyway. I have fixed it now, but I just would like you to confirm that I’m using the correct shortcode. This is for the group with the slug “games” and id 2.

    [activity-stream object=groups for_group="games" primary_id=2 allow_posting=1 per_page=20]

Apart from that, there’s only one issue. I noticed that the plugin doesn’t work for the admin. When I visit a page as admin and try to post, the “Post in” dropdown menu is there. Practically it is not a problem at all; when I want to post something I’ll choose the group. I’m only concerned if it means that something isn’t right, maybe some conflict with a plugin, which might cause future problems. Is it normal that it doesn’t work for the admin? Thanks!

    Regards
    Harry

    Hello Brajesh,

The irony is that after two weeks non-stop work with my site, today is the first day I’m away. Murphy’s Law… So although I can’t wait to test it, I’ll have to wait until tomorrow. Goes without saying that I’ll inform you how it goes. But whatever happens, many thanks for doing this. Very much appreciated. So I’ll be in touch shortly. Have a nice day.

    Regards
    Harry

Brajesh, this is really great news!

It is going to solve so many problems for me at once. Looking forward to trying it out once it is ready. Thank you very much.

    Regards

It’s all right Brajesh, I can understand your position. Just a misunderstanding at the end of the day. Looking forward to the results too!

    Thanks,
    Harry

    Hi Brajesh,

To be honest, it didn’t cross my mind that you might not have read my reply, because you answered David’s post that came afterwards. Also, I didn’t know that it is kind of against the rules to make custom job offers in the forums. I’ll keep in mind for future situations. Goes without saying that you don’t guarantee to accept a custom job offer, I wouldn’t be so irrational to think that. Anyway, no intention for an argument either. As I said, I do appreciate all the free help you provide. If at some point there’s any progress with the functionality, I hope you will notify us here. It’ll probably still be useful to me even if it happens months from now.

    Thank you
    Harry

I understand and I appreciate the help, but I must say that it isn’t very professional on your part my having to ask twice to receive a response for a job offer, after four days waiting, especially considering that you guys have a Hire Us section in your website. I have wasted precious time because of this, without good reason.

    Thank you,
    Harry

    Hi Brajesh,

You didn’t answer my last message (it was in private) about an estimate or any of the other stuff, and I’m not sure where I stand now. If I understand well from your message to David, till the 27th you expect to have the functionality, meaning that we’ll be able to remove the “Post In” dropdown and users will post to the corresponding group’s activity by default?

    Thanks,
    Harry
