Ah, now I understand!
Unfortunatly, deactivating “BuddyPress Profile Visibility Manager” did not do the trick…

Thanks a lot Brajesh, now I understand. I will post my feedback or conclusion here when they get back to me so others can benefit from our discussion.

Why not? That’s what the shortcodes are for right?
To answer your question: it would be weird for people who login to be directed straight to my profile. Also I don’t need them to see all activities, it matters that they see what I post as that will be updates on the site.Looking more carefully now, the “what’s new” only shows on “your stream”. So there must be a line of PHP or HTML that I can work with to make it pop up.
Hi Brajesh,
you say “the developers”. You mean the people from “BB Toolkit”?
I’m confused as to how they are related to the popup box and notifications widget. That’s yours right?
AJ
Now you got me confused Brajesh.
First you said that needs to be friend and not hidden.
Then you said disable visibility (un-hide).That cannot be good as that means the function only works if people set profile to hidden?
Or are you trying to pinpoint to origin of the problem?

It seems to only work when you reply to someones activity: https://cl.ly/1aa5ac803c2d
Yes he is in friend list (now I mentioned this as well in the other topic as additional information about forum mentions and notifications.
Hi Brajesh,
I am not sure about not including it. It may be a rights thing. It all works for admin but not for users.
I tested throroughly and here’s the quick recap https://cl.ly/a2589603881bRegards, AJ
EDIT: https://cl.ly/632bb7fa477b You can see here that @mentions popup also doesn’t happen now in composer.
