Hi Brajesh
Thanks a lot for the clarification. I wonder if and when BuddyBoss will implement this highly requested security feature…

Thanks again Ravi, but your code doesn’t work on my BuddyBoss setup. As I wrote, it seems that the bp_members_validate_user_password function only works when you register an account and not when you want to change your password from your front-end account.

Hi Ravi
Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, the bp_members_validate_user_password function does only checks if the password is empty, and to make sure the password confirmation matches the password. It doesn’t check if the password is strong!
I think it’s very strange that BuddyPress doesn’t follow all the settings in WordPress. It seems that BuddyPress use it’s own settings.

You are legend! It works as aspected! Thank you very much!

Hi Ravi
Thank you for your answer. I tried to add your line just below the line with “bbp_remove_user_forum_subscription( $user_id, $forum_id );”, but it didn’t solve my problem. The user is still subscribed to the group forum after he is removed from the group by me in the backend.
Should I insert your line in another place? Eg. as an add_action?
Regards

Still no one has a solution for this? Very strange that it’s not a built-in feature bbPress!

Hi Brajesh
Awesome. I knew that you had a fix in your sleeve! I’m completely blown away by your effort. Thanks a lot – it works perfectly 🙂
Btw do you still recommend using the BuddyPress Legacy template rather than the Nouveau when using the Community Builder Pro theme? I have read the post at https://buddydev.com/an-introduction-to-buddypress-template-packs/ but I couldn’t see how that related to your theme.
All the best
