    In my spcific example, we would want to use activity uploads as a quick way to post images to the main galleries of the groups that the individual is a member of, the idea is that these images are important for future reference and need to referenced in main galleries where they are in their proper context.

    For this I would expect that the image should have an option to upload to the gallery, and the first comment should go into the description for that image.

    So for me, the UI should be:

    1, click on photo upload

    2. select gallery that the image is to be uploaded to

    3. upload image and then ask for associated comment/descrption

    This could be problematic when it comes to multiple uploads but for me you could remove that feature since the majority of usage cases single uploads are the focus.

    On FB, when you upload an image, there is a box inviting you to say something about it. In there you can add urls etc as well as the description of the image, this is displayed with the image as standard when it is shared etc, even clicking on the image to expand it will show that description.

    It is strange, on my live site the upload photo into the activity stream of the group function is working only intermittently.

    I was unable to recreate this in my test environment but glad I have fixed it for the live system

    I managed to fix it in both cases by changing the settings. Not sure but this may be a bug.

    In the first instance I enabled groups only in the main settings and in there allowed all types of postings (Photo’s, audio,video etc.)

    In the group settings I enabled only photo’s.

    It was with these settings that I got all three upload buttons as upload options in the group activity update and the upload of photo’s did not work.

    Then I went back to the settings and in the main settings I disabled audio, video and files as options.

    When I went back to the group only the photo upload options was visible and it worked.

    Just tested it in my clean test environement and these works, the only upload option available was photo and the upload sequence worked, so it seems I have a plugin issue or something. I’ll do more testing.
