[Resolved] BuddyPress Featured Member Widget – slide mode not working

    Hi there,

    I’ve come across an issue with the slider mode of BP Featured Members. I had the widget deactivated for a while and decided to revisit it so I activated it.

    I added the widget to the sidebar and chose slider as the option. However on display the widget displayed the first featured Member and was static. The slider controls were also missing. I then changed the slider mode to fade, reloaded the page and the slider now worked ( in fade mode ).

    That’s very strange since the last time I tested this the slider worked. I deactivated the ther plugins but alas no change.

    There’s no sign of any errors, I do however see a console log of the slider object in the js console.

    Also I noticed that setting the height of the avatar only affects the height.

    In addition the slider transition speed setting does not function as expected – try setting it for 15000mS – it will started repeating the first member in the list and the transition time is not extended. It seems the default transition is all you are going to get.

    Hi George,
    Please link me.

    The slider has issues with certain themes due to markup. For example, It won’t work with BuddyBos’s theme and need extra css.

    Please link me to the page and I will assist.

    That’s odd, I’m sure I responded earlier but can’t see the post.

    Your suggestion worked, thanks lot for the tip.

    I found the issue with the avatar size attribute. It’s because you are using the class item-avatar to wrap that image and it’s size settings are being over-ridden by BuddyPress.

    Hi George,

    We are using generic classes to get the styles from BuddyPress. May be we can avoid it in future.

    About the slide mode, I am not sure what is the issue on the site but the slide mode is working. I have tested on 2 other installs to confirm it. Can you please switch the theme and test it?

    I switched to 2016 but still have the same issue
