[Resolved] Looking for ideas – Post page with gallery attached

    Hi there, I’m looking for ideas.

    I would like to create on my site a post that describes a place people can visit, and attach to that page a gallery where people can post their photo’s of that place in.

    I guess the main thing I’m looking for is a gallery that all members of my site can upload images to, is that possible?

    Hi George,
    Welcome back.

    Yes, It is possible. There are multiple ways to do it. You ca n do it by creating sitewide galleries and then using shortcode to show that gallery on the post.

    We do need to modify the permissions setup. I will write the code this weekend that will give you a checkbox in the gallery settings to allow upload by anyone.

    Hi George,
    Just wanted to give an update. we have decided to go full fledged on this and we have implemented a plugin that allows gallery admins to add any number of members they wish with view/upload/manage capability.

    It will be available in next 2 days.

    Hi George,
    I wrote the code and since it became a little bit more than what could be managed in snippet,I got @ravisharma to convert that code into the plugin

    Please activate this plugin. Once you have it activated, In Dashboard Edit gallery screen, you will notice a checkbox to allow everyone to upload.

    Once you check that for a gallery, everyone will be able to upload int it.

    I activated it but got the following error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function mpp_get_gallery_post_type() in /wp-content/plugins/mpp-global-shared-gallery-master/class-mpp-gsg-metabox-helper.php on line 16
