Activity Plus Reloaded : Showing error while posting Youtube links

    HiBrajesh,

    I am getting following error while posting YouTube links under “Add links” option.(being shown as Preview)

    No thumbnail

    It was working fine till recently. What could be wrong? is there any way to resolve this? I am using current versions of wordpress& Buddypress(legacy theme)

    The reason why I opt for posting YouTube url under “Add links” option is to display the content with thumbnail & short description.

    Your help would be very much appreciated.

    An Update for your information :

    When I installed “BuddyPress Edit Activity”plugin and tried editing the saved activity feed containing error specified above, the code appeared as follows:

    [bpfb_link url=’https://youtu.be/8jeLCQ62vFk’ title=’There has been an error processing your request’ image=”]There has been an error processing your request[/bpfb_link]

    However,while trying to edit the same link which I had posted earlier in the activity feed (which worked without any error)the code appeared as :
    [bpfb_link url=’https://youtu.be/8jeLCQ62vFk’ title=’Transform a Damaged Laptop into an ALL-IN-ONE desktop PC – YouTube’ image=’https://i.ytimg.com/vi/8jeLCQ62vFk/maxresdefault.jpg’%5DIn this video we’ll be transforming an old laptop into an all-in-one PC! Also, regarding Blinkist, the first 100 people to go to http://www.blinkist.com/diyp…%5B/bpfb_link%5D

    Interestingly,when I pasted the above code using edit activity option,it appeared without any error!

    Hi Binu,
    Thank you for reporting the issue and providing the details. I will be looking into it and updating you within 24 hours.

    There are no recent update form our end, so is there any chance you installed or changed something on the server?

    Hi Brajesh,

    Thanks for the quick response. Glad to hear that you are going to update this wonderful plugin.

    I don’t remember making any changes on the server at any point of time.All that I know is that my hosting service provider(Site ground)had recently updated their php version.

    Hi Brajesh,

    Thanks a lot for your attention and prompt support.
    for me ,all other links except video (Youtube & Vimeo)links are working fine.

    I deactivated all plugins other than BuddyPress and Activity Plus Reloaded and Checked;but error still remains. Tried changing over to default WP theme also.

    If problem is with my Wordpres install,what could be causing problem?

    Update,

    I replicated my current website as it is on my Local host and checked. Interestingly,everything worked perfectly, without showing any error!
    Looks like the problem is at my end!
    May be I will try a fresh install of WordPress and BuddyPress on my server as my site is still under development.Hoping that it will resolve the problem.
    If I am able to identify the underlying issue by any chance,I will share it with you.
