Hi Brajesh, I am using version 1.3.0 and trying to add new sub-nav tabs and re-label existing ones on the single member activity page. I am able to make the sub-nav changes when I set the slug to: “activity ” and in the 3rd field under tab settings use “activity” for the unique tab slug or leave it blank. The sub-navs change as expected. But, this causes the main buddypress activity page set in the buddypress settings to crash and also crashes other functions like sending a public message to another member. I’ve recreated this issue in a two different themes.

I was able to do these changes to the activity tab when using version 1.1.5. I noticed that the ver 1.1.5 tab settings do not include a field for a unique tab slug.

If I enter I enter a truly unique tab slug like “single-activity” the main activity page doesn’t crash but the desired sub-nav tab changes are not applied.
    Thank you,
    Peter Amato

    Hi Peter,
Thank you for using the plugin.

    1. The Profile Tabs plugin does not allow changing the slug of a tab/sub tab currently. Is there any chance you are trying to do that?

Trying to change label will have no issue and will not cause any crash unless you update permissions or the set the default tab inaccessible.

The unique field is same as the post slug. Earlier, the post slug field was used. We still fallback to that if you do not specify the unique slug(it is the slug of existing component or a new slug for custom tabs). It was there earlier but not visible(unless turned on from screen options, now it is visible by default).

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Brajesh,

The tab I am tying to change is https://staging11.nutmegmiata.org/members/nmc-pva/activity/.

When I set the slug to “activity” . I can re-label the tab and re-label the sub tabs and add new sub tabs.

But when I do this page is affected:

    https://staging11.nutmegmiata.org/activity/

The site theme page template elements display ( ie top nav , page sidebar ) but the buddypress content (the members activity loop) does not. I have some screen shots that illustrate this I can send you if you wish.

    Thank you,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
Please link me to the screenshots showing the tab settings in Dashboard->Users->Profile Tabs->edit section.

That will help me identify the issue and assist you better.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Brajesh,

I don’t have a google drive to link you to files . So I created a web page that displays the screenshots

    Thank you,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
    Thank you for the detail.

Please tick the “Is Enabled” in the sub tab here.

    That should fix it.

    Brajesh
