Tagged: Media Press, not showing in gallery
The user profile gallery link shows empty but the mb are being used.
The media is in media press and the view links point to the correct member or group gallery but it shows up with an upload media option and says that there are no galleries to view.
I am not sure what changed? I created another gallery and it was there and showing…now it is gone yet the mb who it is still being used? Also not galleries are not updating accurately on the sitewide gallery page?
Thank you for your help.
EricPlease talk in laymen’s terms as I am a relative newbie
Hi Eric,
I am sorry for the inconvenience.Did you post the media media from activity? If yes, did you post the update with which you had uploaded?
Can you please put some screenshot to show what is happening, that will help me to assit you.
Thank you
BrajeshThank you for getting back to me.
The Galleries were made by different users in their profiles.
There was also media posted in activity and that is not showing up either.

cid:B252B774-EC2E-4FD5-BC9F-AAB8B8D1EBFEIf the pictures attached…the first is of the profile showing no gallery yet mb used. there were 2 galleries in here and now they are gone.
The second picture shows the sitewide Gallery page. Before they disappeared, these were in the profile galleries but are not now. When a new gallery was put into the profile, it showed up in the profile for a little while but is now gone. BUT they never showed up in the site wide gallery and are still not there. — just gone…but mb usage went up.
The third picture is after clicking on the site wide gallery of choice. It links to profile gallery but nothing is there except the upload media link.
*can’t seem to get pics to attach here??

Hi,
Please visit MediaPress->settings and try enabling all privacy status there. It may be related to disabling the privacy. Please give it a try and let me know how it goes.Yea that worked! But only for the profile galleries. The site wide gallery does not show any new galleries that were posted in profiles
Thank you for confirming.
The site wide Galleries are different from the profile galleries. If ou are trying to show the user galleries, please enable gallery directory or use shortcodes.
The sitewide galllery is aimed at non BuddyPress site. It can still be used with BuddyPress site but will be confusing for the users. If you want to allow users to create sitewide gallery, please put this shortcode in any of the page.
[mpp-create-gallery]
to allow users to create sitewide gallery if you plan to.
Hope that helps.
I want one page to catch all galleries (public or activity) so that they can be viewed by other users – of all media types (sortable) or a page exclusive for each media type
Is that still the right short code? Please take a look at the shortcode here.
https://buddydev.com/mediapress/topics/getting-started/shortcodes/mediapress-gallery-listing-shortcodes/I strongly recommend against mixing all media types together due to layout complexities. Yes, It is possible but may not look great if we mix all the gallery with different media type together.
You can achieve the same by just enabling the Gallery directory(From MediaPress->settings->BuddyPress). It lists all public galleries and allows filtering by media type etc.
Please do let me know which way you preferred.
I have the gallery directory enabled.
I turned it off and then back on and no changes.
It shows some galleries that were made before but new ones are not being addedHi,
The Gallery directory will list all the public galleries. Are the new galleries public? Also, ies, please try using filter and see if it lists them. Sometimes, the BuddyPress item lists loader may do wrong filter due to old cookies. Please check and let me know if that was not the issue.
