In https://buddydev.com/support/forums/topic/buddyblog-suggestion-visibility-public-private-add-friends-only/ it is suggested that it would not be too difficult to control visibility of user blogs if a custom post type is used.

In my case I would like to limit visibility to either private or visible to logged in users. I do not want the blogs to be public. How can I do that?

    Hi Hugo,
    Thank you fro the question.

    Here are my suggestions.

    1. Register a private post type( I am assuming you are using Post Type UI or similar plugin)
    2. Set this post type as BuddyBlog post type
    3. Set the show posts on profile to yes

That should do it(If there is an issue with private post not becoming available in the post type selection drop down, Please let me know).

    Regards
    Brajesh
