    Hi Brajesh

    Congratulations, and thank you very much for resuming the development and support of the BuddyPress Custom Xprofile Fields, and for making it more safe!

    I have two wishes for a future update.

    1. Make the plugin compatible with BP Profile Search like the old version.

    2. An option for adding a to/from form in two boxes, which allows users to add two values (eg. age 30-45), not to compare with the Min Max Xprofile field min/max range.

    Thank you.

    The compatibility with Profile Search is already on our menu. It is slated to coincide with BuddyPress 3.1 or earlier.

    Adding a new field is easy. Please suggest me the name and if possible help me with UI( Link to a screenshot will be nice, should we allow dropdown of numbers or allow enter the values? should the values be restricted to numbers or it could be anything else? Is there any relation between the two values?)

    I can quickly add the new field type.

    In my case numbers, which are the most useful. I can’t think of anything but numbers for this option.

    Is there any relation between the two values?
    Not really, it is a to/from value.

    In my case the purpose is dating related.
    By choosing ‘range’ as search mode in BP Search, you can define the age span you are searching for, but you do not have the same option in the profile fields
    to show other members, which age span you are looking for.
    I am using BP Elevator Pitch – Enhanced Member Cards. This plugin enables the Admin to choose which X-Profile fields shall be displayed next to the listed members, in this case, which age span the members are looking for.

    One important issue with the updated plugin is that it is showing months, next to age. eg. 37 years, 10 months. With the new GDPR regulation you do not want to be to specific which information you holds.

    A name could be ‘From/To Values’.

    If the values are numbers only, can this profile field be added in BP Search as well?

    how do I share an image, Pastebin only share links?

    It won’t be easy to allow searching these in optimized way. The search will need to search between the range. Since BuddyPress can not store these data as structured value, we will have to use the serialized value and may be we can put the information in profile data meta. Search from the meta is not efficient and I will try to avoid it.

    Search is not important, age search is already an option in BP Search, so the use of ‘From/To Values’ fields are only for displaying for example the age or hight span on a preferred profile, on the members own profile card.

    Please also notice that months are displayed after years, Alder : 25 years, 2 months, is this intentional?
    I hope for an option for displaying years only.

    The field type From/To is available now. Also, you can show/hide months with the Date of birth/Age field.
