I am trying to modify the ‘activity’ tab. It is not happening… I checked ‘modifying’ and included ‘activity’ in the slug for the tab and the first subtab. Am I missing something? Do I have to create each existing subtabs for this to work? No such requirement is stated in the documentation. Thanks for the help.

    Hi,
Please use ‘just-me’ for the “Personal” sub tab. I am assuming that is what you are planning to modify.

No, there is no need to create other sub tabs to get it working. Also, make sure the sub tab is marked as modifying existing too.

Please do let me know if it works for you or not?

    Regards
    Brajesh

No still does not work. Just testing with label name and position change for now.

Ultimately, I’d to change the name and add ‘everyone’ activity in the activity group and add a ‘subscription’ tab to the profile.

    My current settings:
    TAB
    Is enabled? Checked
Are we modifying predefined tab? checked
    Update label? checked
    Position: 10
    Default Subnav Slug: activity

    Subnav

    Is enabled? checked
    Is Existing? checked
    Label: personal
    Slug: just-me
    Position: 60

    Hi,
I also forgot to mention earlier that you can use one of our free plugins to add whole sitewide activity on user profile.

    https://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-community-activity-on-profile/

    Hope this helps.

    Yes, I am aware. Thanks.

However, that does not solve my problem, namely, I am not able to modify any existing tabs. Do you have a solution?

    Hi,
    Thank you.
Please see my above video for the Personal tab modification. It might help.

If you can tell me one example of modifying existing tab you need, I will create a video and share with you to help show how it works.

    Regards
    Brajesh

I figure out what I was missing. The screen options do not default to ‘slug enable’ so that field was not viewable for me out of the box. Please put a note in the documentation for others. Works great now. Very helpful time-saving plugin. Thanks!

Thank you for confirming that it works. I am glad you liked the plugin.

Adding the slug enabling section on the installation page to make it more obvious).

    Regards
    Brajesh
