    If I am ‘friends’ with a user and they post a new WordPress post will I get a notification?
    What notifications – on my wall, not by email, will I get?

    It will record activities of friends and show on your user activity stream.

    Is it possible to use this with ‘followers’ as well as ‘friends’?
    What is the difference between the two?

    Hello Lucytech,

    Currently it is supporting only following user to show their activity on followed by user profile. But activity of followers that a user follow activity can be added to user activity stream using some custom code.

    Check this plugin for more info about followers and following

    Friends just like normal friends of user.

    Hi Aces,
    Thank you for the post.

    you may want to take a look at the following plugin
    https://github.com/sbrajesh/bp-group-activities-notifier

    It does that for groups and you may adapt it for the friends. We do not suggest creating bulk notifications(unless you do it as a background process) as it may not work properly if there are large number of entries to be created.
