[Resolved] Groups name change

    Okay done, and so close! Left sidebar now says “Districts”, but right sidebar and profile image dropdown still say “Groups”. I guess I didn’t find the correct source to edit because I did edit 3 sources. will you show me again the source names for those instances. I’m so sorry!

    As shown in the image, Please make sure to translate “Groups”. I suggest reordering text by selecting “View->Sort By Source”

    After that, Please make sure that you have saved the translation file as buddypress-en_US.mo in wp-content/languages/plugins/ directory.

    That should work.

    I found “Groups” this time and translated to “Districts” and saved the file which generated “buddypress-en_US.mo”. I uploaded it via FTP to community.pointlomatowncouncil.org > wp-content > languages > plugins > directory.

    But still no change to Group label in right sidebar or profile image dropdown. Perhaps I’m saving the .mo file in the wrong folder?

    Sorry, I could not reply yeaterday.

    I will post a few screenshots today showing my setup exactly. Before that, can you please tell me if you have any specific locale set?

    The default is en_US for WordPress, but it is possible to change, so just trying to know if it different in your case.

    I keep posting a reply because I cannot see that it is posted once I click on “Submit”. I only see 3 pages worth of submitted comments, perhaps you see this even though I cannot?

    Hello, I am trying to start a new topic/ticket but I can’t see where to click to do so. How do I start a new topic?

    In the meantime, here are the two topics I wanted to create:

    1. CAN I PLACE THE “PROFILE’ LINK IN A WIDGET SO THAT IT APPEARS IN A LEFT OR RIGHT SIDEBAR AREA? When you hover over the user’s profile picture and from the drop-down menu you see “Profile”. Without changing that menu, I’d like to ADD a “Profile” menu link to a widget. How please?

    2. DOES THIS THEME HAVE A “BOOKMARKS” FEATURE?

    1. You may put the profile links. These are coming from BuddyPress and you should look at creating a menu and using that in the widget. There is no known plugin that provides the desired hove functionality. So, The answer for the hover will be no.

    2. No. Theme does not have a book mark facility. What book mark? is it user or posts or what?

    The functionalities you are looking for is mostly in the plugin domain. Please let me know what type of bookmark you are looking for and I will try to suggest a plugin.
