How to allow private messaging to friends only?

    I am seeking a way to prevent ALL users from sending each other private messages unless they are friends first. Is any of your plugins capable of doing this?

    I would like to set this setting for all users in the back-end and not have each user have to set this for their profile. Site-wide option.

    I think this plugin might do this but I’m not sure.

    By the way the documentation for this plugin has 404 page.

    Thank you for the question.

    That plugin will be available next week(The docs were published by mistake earlier).

    If that plugins works for you, it will be nice, otherwise, we do have other option.

    I’m not sure what you mean when you say the plugin will be available next week. It was and currently is available to download:

    But the documentation is missing:

    I will try that plugin and see if it has that option.

    I installed the plugin but don’t see an option to restrict private messages to FRIENDS only. Do you have any other suggestions?

    Hi,
    That plugin was not in a releasable state and was published due to mistake by one of our team members. We have gone slow with our release plans due to team facing health issues here. I am hoping to release it asap and will let you know then.
