Mediapress Upload Photo from iPhone

    Hi,

    I could have sworn that BuddyPress users could upload photos and post photo “activities” from their mobile devices, but somewhere along the production line this functionality seems to have disappeared. At the very least, it’s not working on my site.

    Welcome to BuddyDev and my apologies for the inconvenience.

    Are you able to upload to the activity using desktop?

    Are the upload icons visible on the ios devices(I don’t own one, so I will need your help in understanding the issue).

    Is there anything else that you may want to share?

    Hi Brajesh,
    Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, uploads using the desktop are working fine. The upload icons are visible on iOS devices, but nothing happens when I tap “Select files”. Usually this would open a dialog that gave options for “Camera” and “Camera Roll”.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the details. Can you please try uploading from the single gallery page or the admin dashboard and see if that works. Please also check if your normal WordPress media uploads are working.

    I am assuming the issue is related to js triggering the upload box. It may have some kind of conflict. Please check the upload from above two locations and let me know.

    Hi Brajesh,

    Uploads work on both locations on the desktop site. On the mobile version, I cannot upload from the single gallery page or the “activity” area, but I can upload from the admin dashboard.

    My apologies for the delay.

    Please give us till 5th. The person who is tasked with setting up install on Linode is on leave and that has complicated the things. he is supposed to be back on 4th. Please bear with us for 2 more days.
