MPP-Media-Rating (Fatal PHP Error!)

    1. Running WordPress 4.6…
    2. Theme is Kleo 4.1.6.2
    3. Multisite install w/ subdomains
    4.using WP-multi-networks plugin
    5. Running BuddyPress 2.7?
    6. with BP-Multi-Network (the other one), no multiblog mode enabled

    Fatal error started today
    [15-Nov-2016 06:59:35 UTC]
    PHP Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/mysite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mpp-media-rating/core/mpp-rating-widget.php on line 167

    Had to delete plugin.

    Is there a workaround, or can you update the plugin soon?

    Hello Gastro,

    Sorry for the inconvenience. It seems you are working with PHP version lower than 5.5. I have updated the plugin. Please download the latest version of plugin and give it a try. Please let me know if it is working or not.

    Thank you, Ravi, but my server says PHP v5.6.

    I will try the update soon!

    Oh, you are right! It used to be PHPv5.6, but now it says v5.4.45.
    I will check with my hosting first, then try the update.

    Please update to version 1.0.1 as Ravi said.

    It should work with lower version too. Still, It will be better for your own site if you upgrade the php version.
