Hi Mike,
I am sorry for the delayed reply. Please upgrade to 1.3.8
https://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-branded-login/and then try resetting the password. Does it work?
Regards
BrajeshHi Brajesh,
I think the problem comes from my membership login that I’m hiding with css. I have asked for support on it.
I’ll try to revert to my theme’s branded logins and see how that goes.
The part which I don’t understand is that sometimes I’m redirected to a page and I don’t need the complicated password which wordpress sends, it just lets me enter the new password twice.
Does your popup login & registration have any password reset in it? I didn’t have chance to try it out yet.
Thanks for the help.
MikeHi Mike,
Using 2 plugins might cause conflict. Please do note that it is Branded login that does not provide the ability to set your own password(It sends the generated password).
The ajax registration plugin simply points user to the site’s reset password page(It does not implement the reset password).
In my personal opinion, using the default WordPress workflow might be a better alternative for varied user base.

BrajeshHi Brajesh,
No worries. I’ve re-implemented the theme’s logins which work in combination with rebranded wordpress features.
It works well so I’ll keep it like that for a while. I didn’t realise it worked that well 🙂
Many thanks,
MikeHi Mike
Thank you.
I am sorry for the inconvenience. Glad that theme’s default implementation worked.

BrajeshNo need to be sorry it’s not your fault. It’s about me not understanding how WordPress works.
It’s not easy to move from a different system which I know backwards, so many simple things are not simple anymore. The things I learned before have to be forgotten 🙂
But I really like WordPress, Buddypress etc. I’m very glad to be using them now and to have your support when I get stuck or have misunderstandings.
Hi Mike,
You are too kind.Thank you for being a member here 🙂
It is a pleasure to assist you.
Regards
Brajesh
