Hello, sorry if this was asked previously, but I could not find it.

In the settings, I have enabled the gallery archives. However, the archives do NOT display the gallery cover image and because I have post archives set up to show the post excerpt but there is a gallery description but not a post excerpt for the mpp-gallery post type, it’s just returning a bunch of text based on the social sharing buttons in the gallery.

Is there any way to get the gallery archives to show the gallery cover photo and the description or would I have to enable an actual featured image and excerpt for the gallery post to get the archives to show this?
