I think this has been taken care of from this ticket:
https://buddydev.com/support/forums/topic/user-profile-tabs-replace-edit-profile-with-a-new-custom-my-profile-screen

>> the issue was the admin bar id was incorrect. It should have been “my-account-xprofile” instead of “nav-account-xprofile”

Thanks so much-

Oh I see, thank you so much.

I also see the issue from our other question is now gone.
https://buddydev.com/support/forums/topic/user-profile-tabs-left-admin-bar-shows-new-renamed-tabs/

I think it’s due to the admin bar ID change above.

Thanks so much-

Hi there-

I’d tried previously and do have “Add to admin bar” selected now but still not getting the new Edit Profile link to appear.
SUBNAV 1:
Is enabled
Label: Edit Profile
Slug: edit-profile
Add to admin bar? CHECKED
Content: shows our replacement form

HOWEVER I will say since you mentioned: if it is a new profile tab, I will suggest avoiding use of existing slug e.g “profile”.

I’m open to suggestions for configuration. This is not a new Profile tab, I’m Renaming the existing Profile tab to read “My Profile”. In the renamed Tab I have the NEW Edit Profile subnav with our replace Edit Profile form.

I’m renaming instead of creating a brand new My Profile tab because in the BuddyPress menu I need…
My Profile link but with the standard BuddyPress Edit Profile sublinks for:
View
Change Profile Photo
Change Cover Image
PLUS our new Custom Edit Screen named Edit Profile

Thanks so much-

Hi there-

So for the tab that is renaming the default Profile Tab, we have:

NEW PROFILE TAB:
My Profile: slug = profile so that it renames the Profile Link My Profile.
TAB SETTINGS:
Is enabled
Modifying Predefined Tab
Update Label
Adminbar Item ID – trying nav-account-xprofile

When I inspect the page, I see

<div class=”ab-item ab-empty-item”>My Profile

So was trying nav-account-xprofile in the Adminbar Item ID field but we still see the words My Profile in the top left admin bar.

Thanks!

I should have mentioned our setup:

NEW PROFILE TAB:
My Profile: slug = profile so that it renames the Profile Link My Profile.
TAB SETTINGS:
Is enabled
Modifying Predefined Tab
Update Label
Adminbar Item ID – trying nav-account-xprofile

SUBNAV 1:
Is enabled
Label: Edit Profile
Slug: edit-profile
Content: shows our replacement form

SUBNAV 2: to hide the default Edit Profile screen
Is enabled
Is existing
Label: Default Edit Profile
Slug: edit
Add This Tab For: None
Visible For: None
Adminbar Item ID: my-account-xprofile-edit
