Hi Brajesh,
Thanks for the fast response.Sorry for the lack of clarification.
I was curious if there was a plugin or code that would restrict a user from accessing a forum based on their profile type. So, ideally they wouldn’t be able to see that forum or access it or it’s topics. Also, I think said plugin would need to address the widget visibility as well as the buddypress activity posting if the forum was restricted. Hope that makes sense.
Hi Brajesh! Thanks. I forgot to reply to you and let you know that totally worked. The @mention works with your modified code.
Hi Brajesh,
I actually think the BuddyBlog addon would work well if we could give group admins the ability to add tabs to the group. It will give the group admin the flexibility to add their own blog post to the group how they see fit.
Thanks for the follow up.

I just want to mention that if you’re using the TinyMCE editor, then for some reason the Buddypress @mentions does not seem to work with it. I haven’t figured out how to get it to work with the modal code yet.

Hi Brajesh,
No worries. I just got around to getting back to it. It worked perfectly. Thanks for your help. - Erich199 on December 19, 2022 at 3:07 pm in reply to: [Resolved] Help with a bit of javascript #47704
Hi Brajesh,
Thanks for the reply.
Is it possible to pass a short code argument to the window.locationJavaScript?

I think what I was looking for is the Buddypress Activity as Wire feature.
https://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-activity-as-wire/I installed it and it doesn’t seem to work.
With the Facebook like Activity Stream – I believe you need to be actual friends in order for it to work
