Hey Brajesh,
I upgraded and installed version 1.1.8 and I was able to successfully limit visibility to the profile owner and friends… Alright!
Just a note, the Administrator still has visibility even if the option is not checked. For me, I always want my admin to have visibility so I don’t mind. It might be confusing to some users though.
Thanks for the hard work, marking this one as “resolved”.

Yep, I get it now. Sounds like a cool feature.

Thank you for clarifying all of that!
I missed the option “Add to admin bar?” that only displays when adding new items. Thank you for pointing that out. Just knowing it was possible helped me double check those settings. No need for a video 🙂
I have a question about the option “Content” at the bottom when adding a new menu item. I read the documentation that says:
“You can use any text/html in the content. You can also use shortcodes. By using shortcode you can easily integrate any plugin with BuddyPress(If that is your intention).”
But I still don’t understand how this feature is used. Where does it display? How do people use this content field? How would it help me integrate other plugins with BuddyPress?
The ability to change the labels will be awesome!! I will leave this thread set to “not resolved” until after I test that new feature when it is available.
Thanks for all of your hard work!

Ah, I see.
So positioning is clearly out. What about the other items: renaming, changing the link or adding new menu items to the adminbar?
Am I correct in assuming that these are not possible with Profile Tabs Creator (my misunderstanding)? I am trying to better understand the limits and capabilities of what can be done.
It should be possible to change the labels of the menu items using a language file though, correct?

Thank you.
I think I might have a misunderstanding about the adminbar account menu. I am able to remove items from this menu, but is it not possible to: rename, adjust position, change link or add new items?
I want the adminbar account menu to match the changes that I make with Profile Tabs Creator. If it’s not possible with your tool, do you know of another way to accomplish this?
I have created a screenshot that highlights the differences between the two menus that I am trying to adjust:

Okay,
I have done more testing with your latest release Version 1.1.7 and I am still seeing the issue.
Some visibility options like: Anyone, None, Logged In Members and Profile Owner seem to work as expected.
However, other options that I tested such as Friends and Subscriber DO NOT work in combination with Profile Owner. I am pretty sure that it is the Profile Owner setting causing problems because without that option checked, Friends and Subscriber will work as expected (I think).
In addition, the “Administrator” has visibility regardless of how the “Tab Visibility” option is set unless the only option that is set is the new “None” option. If “None” is set, then the administrator loses visibility along with everyone else as expected. Otherwise, he can see all… not a big deal though because it is the administrator.
My goal is to have both the profile owners and their friends be able to see certain tabs and subnav while excluding everyone else. I do not think this is currently possible.
Please check my configuration settings. I have created a test label called “Modifying Group Tab” that I have been using for this test.
Thank you,

So far, so good. I was able to completely hide a tab and it’s subnav items from all my users including the administrator.
I think this one is resolved. I will update my other thread about User Profile Tabs after I have done some more in-depth testing.
Thanks!

I will install it now and test.
Thanks.
