Thank you, Brajesh….I am using News Paper 8-9 theme. Just curious does the Activity Stream viewpoint on mobile view hides the keyboard when typing in the comments field, I am facing this issue now, when typing in comments and the keyboard gets the focus it doesn’t stay in a fixed position, the keyboard covers up the text.
I have been searching online for a fix and I haven’t found a fix for this issue and I was thinking that if I purchased the Activity Stream plugin it would fix that.

Naomi
Thank you Brajesh,
I was able to download the plugin from the link. If I have further questions I will let you know.

Hi Brajesh,
Ideally, this is how I want the logic to work:
If the comment button counter is set to 0, read only = false, I want the comment button to be editable for the user to make the first comment on a post.
After the first comment is made, make the comment button read only = true.
Hope that makes more sense.
Thanks,
Naomi

Hi Brajesh,
After giving it some thought I actually need both buttons, but I don’t know how to apply the logic in php.
The logic would go like this:
After a user post an update, any user can make a comment by clicking on the comment button.
This is where the logic gets tricky.
This is an example of a post with no comments below, with the comment button counter set to zero:
Erik B posted an update 3 days ago ·
I am having pizza for dinner

ReplySo this my problem, the comment button is still clickable and so is the reply button.
I can click both the comment and the reply button, and when I click on the comment button when a user has made a comment, the comment box over lapse the reply box.
After thinking about it, I just want the comment button to be “Read Only”, to only show the number of comments made to a post. I don’t want the users to be able to click on comments and a box open for them to edit.
I just want the users to be able to reply and edit to a comment. I only want the reply button to be editable, not the comment button in a muti-level post.
Thanks,
Naomi

Hi Brajesh,
I finally figured out how to remove the view link.
I will just say I had to remove a lot of code from the “cover-image-header.php” file, through trial and error, without breaking my site.
So you can close this topic as resolved.
Thank you for all your help.
Naomi
Hi Brajesh,
Thank you so much for getting back to me. I am actually a programmer myself (vb.net and sql),and had to retire due to car accident that left me partially paralyzed.
I am getting my feet wet in web development and PHP, my website is kinda buggy.
Again, I really appreciate your help in this matter.
I was looking at some of your buddypress themes, and they look very professional, once I push my website live and get a steady user base, I will probably need your assistance with the upgrade theme.
I went ahead and set up you a temporary subscriber account where you can access the site.
Thanks,
Naomi
