    Hello Brajesh,

Sorry to bother you once again. Here are the results of creating the new bp-custom.php file and placing it in the site’s wp-content/plugins folder:

    * The JOIN button does not change text to Member until I refresh the screen.
    * The Member IS ADDED to the group
    * The Member is NOT added as a friend of any of the Group Admins

I better just wait until the updated plugin is released.

    Blessings, Dianne

    Hello Brajesh,

I just figured out that I needed to create the bp-custom.php file. You do not need to respond.

    Thank you, Dianne

    Hello Brajesh,

Where is the bp-custom.php file located? I tried looking under the WP-Admin, WP-Content, and WP-Includes. I can’t find bp-custom.php. I googled where to find it, but it doesn’t exist in the wp-content/plugins folder.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hello Brajesh,

I looked at the ADD NEW LIST (Friendship list under USERS). I don’t see anything there to select and I tried having a Member join a group where the Member and the Group Organizer were NOT YET connected. The snippet code is active. However, the friendship is not being made with the Group Organizers.

I’m wondering if I am missing a step to make this work. It might just be best to wait until the plugin is released. But I would like to test this to see how it works.

I’m also thinking it would be nice if Group Admins could decide which of their own Groups they want to have automatic friendships and those they do not. For example: They may want to make auto friends in a PRIVATE Group where they can control who is allowed to join, versus a PUBLIC Group where anybody on the site can join the Group.

Another sophistication that you might consider is: IF a Group Member leaves the Group, the Group Admin is notified and can determine if they want to remain friends with the Member who left.

    Thanks, Dianne

    Hello Brajesh,

I just upgraded to the BuddyBoss Platform Premium. I’m assuming that the standalone plugins have been canceled so that I don’t get billed in December and March.

Please send me the code for: Make anyone who joins a Group become friends automatically with the Group Organizers.

    Best Regards, Dianne

    Hello Brajesh,

I noticed that I have the “BuddyPress Dynamic Group Tab Content” plugin, which is NOT listed as a plugin on your site, but the plugin on my site says it is from BuddyDev. I’m assuming it is some kind of add on to the “BuddyPress Group Tabs Creator Pro” plugin. OR, has it been incorporated into the “BuddyPress Group Tabs Creator Pro” plugin and is no longer a separate plugin.

I have another question about the Auto Friendship Pro plugin, since it is considered a “BuddyBoss” compatible plugin. Can I assign auto-friendships based upon who invited the new user to the site (Site Invitation)? That would be so very, very useful because the person registering is creating an account because the Member invited them. I’m assuming that they would want to be friends.

    Thanks, Dianne

    Hello,

Admins being able to connect any two users as friends (connections) would be fabulous.

Is the code that allows users to become friends automatically with the Group Organizers easy to implement? I have “Code Snippets Pro” which allows me to add code to my child theme’s functions.php file from my WP Admin panel.

If so, I’ll most likely purchase Auto Friendship Pro. I have the following paid BuddyDev plugins. It may be time to upgrade to a different package:

    * BP Default Group Tab
    * BuddyPress Auto Activate Autologin Redirect To Profile On Signup
    * BuddyPress Auto Join Groups
    * BuddyPress Dynamic Group Tab Content
    * BuddyPress Group Tabs Creator Pro
    * BuddyPress User Profile Tabs Creator Pro

Any advice on how to upgrade to a package deal? LOL?

    Thanks

Is there a plugin that would allow the Site Admin to connect two people together on the fly? There are times when someone accidentally removes their friendship and it’s hard to connect them again.

    Thanks, Dianne
