Hi Daniel,
How will you allow the user to edit the posts they create then? In BuddyBlog we have the create/edit both but since you do not want to use it, you will need to either disable editing or provide a way for editing the post.Before I add the redirect, I need to know the choice.

yes, That is exactly how it works.You can setup member type to role mapping and if a user selects a member type, they get assigned that associated role.

I am sorry, this update does not include the disable local option. It contains a compatibility fix for BP Nouveau template and a few other things.I am adding the disable local upload in next update.

Welcome to BuddyDev forums.The option Allow Comments should be a checkbox. Can you please visit dashboard->Settings->BuddyBlog and check if you have allowed users to control this or not?
Also, if the terms are not showing checkboxes, most probably the theme is styling checkboxes in some strange way. If you can provide me a guest account who can see the create post for buddyblog, I can check assist with the reason and possible solution.
