    Hi Phil,
I am not sure of that is the right thing to do.

My approach will be to find the issue and get it fixed in the respective component. I know from your previous reply that the theme support is a bit slow but it is their implementation and you should ask them to fix it.

Even if they take a week or 2 it is always better than patching the issues which should not have been the issue in the first place.

    Regards

    Hi Phil,
It could most probably be fixed. I checked your theme’s register file and it has too much code. I fear overriding/changing might break your theme.

My suggestion, get the help from theme developers. It will save you a lot of issues.

    Hi Jeff,
How are you creating the new roles.

It seems to me it is not that the selected role is overriding, It is most probable that the member type equivalent role is not available when setting role.

Please let me know who are you adding the role and I will find a way to do it.

    Thank you

    Hi Phil,
It is not related to BuddyPress.

BuddyPress does not uses the media uploaded(modal box). It is the theme that uses it.

Also, BuddyBlog too filters on the upload to allow users upload. So, if you are using BuddyBlog, try disabling and trying again.

If it is still allowing, It is the Arcane theme as they have implemented profile photo update via media uploader.

    Hi Phil,
I am sorry but I don’t think the theme supports icon for sub tabs.

If it is allowing, it is most probably due to modification of existing top level tabs to sub levels. I looked at the code and I do’t see any support for sub tabs icons.

Please do correct me if I am mistaken here.

    Regards

Brajesh Singh on in reply to: xProfile fields – Fetch profilgroups in member loop #18965

    Hi Tom
    I have a question.

The BuddyPress Member Types provide the directory support out of the box.

What is the reason that you are creating your own custom loops.

If I had to tackle it, I will link to default BuddyPress Members Directory and then use hook “bp_directory_members_item” to create a box and add extra profile details.

Also, the above loop can be simplified in that case. You fetch the member type of the current user in the loop

    $member_type = bp_get_member_type(bp_get_member_user_id(), true)

and write a function to generate the details for that user. In your above code, you might want to add a space to $component.$name like

    $component. ' ' . $name

As your Field Names have space.

Hope that helps you with the right direction.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Phil,
    Thank you.

Hope you are enjoying the holidays.

I have checked again and with Arcane theme, It can be done without touching the theme. This approach will not work with other themes and may be broken in future(I plan to add icons support in next major release of the plugin).

Here is how do you add an icon. Edit the tab label and put the icon html before the label as shown here

    Hope that helps.

PS:- For others looking at this topic, This approach is not recommended as most theme will escape the html. Please check with us for icon support in our next release.

    Regards

Brajesh Singh on in reply to: [Resolved] paiement with featured Member #18963

    Hi Herve,
I am sorry but each time I share the code you keep changing and that breaks it.

For example, The code you have shared in the above link is incapable of adding members as featured after Payment. You have removed the section which marked user as featured on Payment.

Please provide me FTP and let me update the file for you. That will be much easier and I can update this quickly. That will save you time too.

    Thank you
